  • GMB Pub Revolution Lobby MPs at Westminster on 16th March 2010 13 Mar 2010

    GMB members who are tied tenants will lobby MP’s in Parliament next Tuesday at 2pm in Committee Room 10. All 100 members of the GMB parliamentary group have been invited to attend the lobby and hear GMB members from all parts of GB make their case for action to secure cuts in wholesale prices by at least £12,000 per year per pub. The lobby will be preceded by a meeting in the Commons at 12.15pm of the leaders of the GMB Pub Revolution branch and others with the Minister for Pubs, John Healey MP from the Wentworth & Dearne contsituency in South Yorkshire.

  • GMB Concern At Impact Of £2 Million Overspend At Barnsley Hospital 9 Mar 2010

    GMB today issued a statement on the news that there has been spending above budget on the theatres and surgical department at Barnsley Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. GMB represents general nursing staff, recovery nurses, operating department practitioners, health care assistants and ancillary staff at the Trust.

    GMB is now balloting British Gas members for industrial action. The ballot comes after requests from the members for action. Members know only too well that there has been a hardening of management’s approach.
