We are receiving calls from members looking for some clarity on what they should do in the light of the PMs announcement in relation to returning to work. Further details are being published later today.

Our advice to members is:

1. Do not return to work if you can work from home.

2. Do not return to work until a full risk assessment has been carried out by your employer and GMB health & safety representative and safety measures have been provided which have been agreed by the union.

3. Do not return to work even if 2 is in place if you cannot travel to and from work safely - avoiding public transport.

4. Let your GMB rep know if your employer is forcing you back to an unsafe workplace. You can also contact GMB on 0345 337 7777.
