To kick off LGBT+ History month we’re calling all members who identify as LGBT+ to sign up to our new mailing list.

LGBT+ History month takes place every year in February and is a celebration of the history of LGBT+ people. Unions have played a pivotal role in shaping that history from the establishment of the first LGBT+ self-organised groups within unions in the 1970’s to the passing of LGBT+ rights motions at Labour Party Conference in the 1980’s to the eventual passage of the Equality Act in 2010 to name a few. The struggle has been a long one and it is far from over, the price of equality is eternal vigilance.
