NHS STAFF SURVEY SHOWS PAY DEAL NEEDED TO END CRISIS

Pay satisfaction is plummeting, vacancies have rocketed, and ambulance workers are planning on leaving in droves, says GMB Union

GMB Union says today’s NHS staff survey results [1] shows a pay deal is needed to end the crisis in the health service.

Laurence Turner, GMB Head of Research and Policy, said:

"These shocking results show that a deal on pay is needed to end the crisis in NHS services.

"Pay satisfaction is plummeting, vacancies have rocketed, and ambulance workers are planning on leaving in droves.

"As talks over pay continue, NHS workers are calling for decent pay and the resources they need to do their jobs - it is no less than they deserve."
